Mohamed Salah’s decision to stay at Anfield was largely influenced by his strong belief that Liverpool is ready to continue competing for the top honors.
After agreeing to a new deal with the Reds, the Egyptian will keep wearing the No. 11 shirt after the current season is over.

Since arriving in 2017, Salah has amassed an incredible CV that includes seven major awards, including the Premier League and Champions League, and 243 goals, the third-highest total in LFC history.
With seven games left in 2024–25, he and Arne Slot’s team are focused on adding another league title as they lead the division by 11 points.
And one of the key reasons Salah wanted to stay on Merseyside was the possibility of still being considered for important titles with the squad.
I wouldn’t have signed if I didn’t think so. In an exclusive interview with Liverpoolfc.com, the forward stated, “I think the team can win trophies.”
I think we can win a lot of trophies in the upcoming years with the help of the city and the fans, who always support us during the games.”
Liverpool will play West Ham United on Sunday afternoon in an attempt to further their short-term goal of winning this season’s championship.
I believe I stated at the start of the season that my top priority is to win the Premier League. To be fair, I really want it,” Salah remarked of his own aspirations to achieve that goal.
“The fans deserve it because we didn’t celebrate our victory the last time. I hope we succeed this time. With seven games remaining, it won’t be simple at all because Arsenal is also catching up.
“We’ll do everything we can, and hopefully we’ll win in the end.”
